Jhubei City is a small city within Hsinchu County that rose to prosperity when it became its administrative city. Many of Jhubei residents work in Hsinchu Technology Park due to its close proximity. Jhubei City is a city of rich and diverse cultures, being the home of many members of one of Taiwan, Largest minority groups; the Hakka people.

Hsinchu County Bureau of Cultural Affairs

Bureau Of Cultural AffairsThe Hsinchu County Bureau of Cultural Affairs is located in Jhubei City, Hsinchu County. The Bureau's building incorporates elements of traditional Hakka architecture, including Weilong house, round tower, enclosed yard, and courtyard.

Inside the building are a performance hall, library, art museum, and cultural plaza. It is as multifunctional house of culture combining cultural, recreational, collecting, and information functions. The basement level is laid out like a Hakka village. The three aboveground floors have a complex structure that creates many views of both inside and outside the building. The outer wall is made of red brick on top and a layer of stones on the bottom. In front of the building, trails along both sides of Douzihpu Creek are provided for public recreation. Public art has been used very innovatively in many spots.
