Hsingtien Temple
After LungShan Temple, XingTian Temple (also written Hsingtien Temple) is arguably Taipei's most famous temple. Kuan Kuang, the god of War and martial Arts is the principle deity of this temple he is also worshipped as the patron saint of businessmen. In a classic example of ancestor worship, Kuan Kuang was an actual person, a strong and versatile warrior who lived from 162-219 AD. Situated within earshot of the SungShan Domestic Airport, the temple is constantly bubbling with activity inside and out.
Worshipers paying tribute to the gods at Hsingtien Temple in Taipei are often easy prey for pickpockets.
